Toyin Abraham Responds to Backlash Over Audio Leak

Toyin Abraham, a Nollywood actress, faced significant online backlash after a leaked audio recording circulated on October 14, 2026. The audio featured a TikTok fan named Bisgold insulting fellow actress Funke Akindele while Toyin Abraham laughed along.

The incident sparked divided opinions on social media, with some defending Abraham for not directly attacking Akindele, while others criticized her for enabling the fan's behavior. Tensions between the two actresses had previously surfaced during the premiere of Iyabo Ojo's film, where Funke Akindele was seen sitting with Ojo, leading to an awkward encounter when Abraham approached them.

Following this, Toyin Abraham vowed never to greet Akindele again and confirmed she had unfollowed her on social media. On October 15, 2026, Abraham chose to repost a defense written by Instagram influencer Bukky Majek, who urged critics to back off and asserted that Abraham's blessings come from God.

This repost allowed Abraham to clarify her position without directly addressing the leaked audio's specifics.
