Trader Stanlei Osifo Enters APC Presidential Race

Stanlei Osifo, a trader from Edo State, has officially joined the race for the presidency under the All Progressives Congress (APC) by purchasing a nomination form for N100 million. This announcement was made on Tuesday at the Sheraton Hotel in Abuja, where he expressed his intention to challenge the incumbent President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming presidential primaries scheduled for May 23.

Osifo's declaration comes shortly after another APC member, Jame Falek, procured a form on behalf of Tinubu. In a video shared by Imran Muhammad, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the APC National Chairman, Nentaw Yilwatda, Osifo emphasized that his candidacy is not sponsored by Tinubu, countering suggestions that the incumbent is backing his campaign.

He stated that the APC constitution allows any qualified member to contest for office, regardless of endorsements, and called for transparency in the electoral process.
