Osifo Acquires APC Forms to Contest Tinubu in 2027

Osifo, a trader from Edo State, has officially purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination forms, costing 100 million naira, to challenge Bola Tinubu for the party's ticket in the upcoming 2027 elections. This announcement was made during a press conference held in Abuja on Monday.

Osifo's declaration comes amidst significant support for Tinubu, with 22 APC governors endorsing him as the sole candidate for the party. Despite this, Osifo maintains that such endorsements do not automatically determine the party's flagbearer.

He emphasized that the APC's electoral laws permit qualified members to contest for the presidential ticket. Osifo's actions signal a potential challenge to the current president's candidacy, as he aims to assert his position within the party ahead of the primaries.
