Nigeria's Trans Niger Pipeline Achieves Zero Infractions

The Trans Niger Pipeline recorded zero infractions during a period when Nigeria achieved 99.2% of its OPEC quota, producing 1.85 million barrels per day in March 2026. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission reported a 7.58% increase in output, attributed to a significant drop in vandalism and stronger collaboration with host communities along the pipeline corridor.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company reported a profit of N276 billion in March, citing improved production and gas output. Dr.

Akpo Mezeh, the General Manager of Trans Niger Pipeline Limited, emphasized the importance of community engagement and the role of traditional rulers and security agencies in safeguarding the pipeline infrastructure. He confirmed that no infractions were recorded in the past month, reflecting improved synergy and operational collaboration.

Traditional rulers, including Ez Sergeant Awus from Emohua Kingdom and Dr. Philip Obel from Elem Kingdom, welcomed the company's interventions and called for continued partnerships to sustain these gains.
