Arsenal Signs Promising Goalkeeper Phoenix Blaynei

Arsenal Football Club has reached a final agreement to sign 16-year-old goalkeeper Phoenix Blaynei, successfully fending off interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. Alan Blaynei, the player's father, confirmed that the Northern Irish Premier League club will receive a nominal fee as compensation for training and development.

The agreement states that Phoenix will officially sign with Arsenal when he turns professional on November 17, 2027. Alan Blaynei informed the Belfast Telegraph that everything is settled, and they merely need to sign the contract at the appropriate time.

Phoenix Blaynei previously trialed with Arsenal and was seen wearing the club's training gear at Anfield. His father described Arsenal's offer as appealing and highlighted the opportunity for his son to develop under the guidance of Arsenal's coaching staff, particularly with close friend Daniel McCarron.

Adam Birchall, appointed as head coach in October 2024, will oversee Blaynei's development within the youth ranks.
