Transfer: Chelsea owners agree €20m deal to sign Encisco

Chelsea's owners have finalized a €20m deal to bring Julio Enciso from Strasbourg to Stamford Bridge. The agreement was struck between Chelsea Strasbourg BlueCo and Brighton, where Enciso currently plays.

The 25-year-old Paraguayan forward will initially join Strasbourg before eventually moving to Chelsea. Enciso, who has scored five goals in 57 matches for Brighton since joining in 2022, is currently recovering from a knee injury that has kept him sidelined for six months.

This deal marks the fifth player Brighton has sold to Chelsea since the ownership change in 2022. Enciso's arrival adds depth to Chelsea's squad, but he will have to compete for a spot in the team under new Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler.
