Nwabali Returns to Chippa United Amid Mental Health Struggles

Stanlei Nwabali, a goalkeeper, rejoined Chippa United after terminating his contract with the club in February. His return to the South African Premiership club comes after an 18-month period marked by significant personal loss, including the deaths of his grandmother and both parents.

Nwabali's agent, Moham Lawal, explained that these tragedies placed a heavy burden on Nwabali, making him responsible for many family matters. Lawal emphasized that Nwabali's mental health was adversely affected, which impacted his performance on the field.

The decision to return to Chippa United was made to help Nwabali regain his focus and mental stability, as he struggled to perform at his best during games for the national team due to these personal challenges.
