Nigerian Army Ambushes and Kills Three Terrorists in Katsina

On May 9, 2023, at 9:40 PM, troops from the Nigerian Army successfully ambushed three armed terrorists attempting to flee during an ongoing military operation in Katsina State. The ambush was executed along the Turar Kitibawa, Kuka, and Mai Damusa road, following intelligence reports regarding the terrorists' movements in the Matazu general area.

Captain Abayomi Adisa, the acting director of Army Public Relations for the 17 Brigade, confirmed that the troops neutralized the terrorists and recovered an AK-47 rifle, a magazine containing three rounds of ammunition, three cutlasses, assorted charms, and a cash sum of N3,500. The Nigerian Army continues to sustain offensive operations against criminal elements in the region, aiming to restore peace and security across Katsina State.
