Troops Arrest 15-Year-Old Linked to General Braimah's Death

Troops from the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai arrested a 15-year-old boy named Simpli Tijjani, who is linked to the killing of General Oseni Braimah and two soldiers in Borno State. The arrest occurred on a Sunday after Tijjani was captured on video confessing to his involvement with a terrorist group.

General Braimah commanded the 29 Task Force Brigade, which was attacked on a Thursday. During the assault, elements suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists targeted the base, leading to the fatalities.

Tijjani, who spoke Hausa, confirmed his arrest in Ngamdu, Borno State, and mentioned that he had participated in an attack on Benisheik and was involved in logistics for the group, collecting N850,000. He stated that he left his fellow fighters in Jilli and was unaware of their fate following the attack.
