Nigerian Army Arrests Five Suspected Criminals with AK-47 Rifles in Kwara State

The Nigerian Army apprehended five suspected criminals in Kwara State, seizing concealed AK-47 rifles. The suspects were captured at a checkpoint in Share town, Ifelodun Local Government Area.

Additionally, six rifles were confiscated during the operation. This arrest followed the apprehension of six individuals suspected of being couriers for kidnappers in the same area.

The suspects were found with a large quantity of bread and petrol in a charcoal Golf saloon car. The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation and will be transferred to the police headquarters in Ilorin for further investigation.

Furthermore, a coordinated assault by government vigilantes led to the elimination of several criminals in Omu. Four women and two young men believed to be abduction victims were rescued during the operation.
