Troops Arrest Boko Haram Logistics Suppliers in Yobe

On March 24, at approximately 11:00 PM, troops from the 241 Battalion deployed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Jajimaji conducted a night patrol in Yobe State, specifically in the Yusufari Local Government Area. During the operation, the troops intercepted two vehicles attempting to flee the scene near a filling station.

One vehicle, a golf car with registration number AG273, was successfully intercepted, while the second vehicle managed to escape. A search of the intercepted vehicle revealed seven sacks filled with premium motor spirit (PMS), estimated to contain 77 liters.

Four suspects were arrested, including the driver Mohan Idi (25), motor boy Mero Umra (21), filling station manager Hasan Liman (50), and station guard Jibril Audu (28). Additionally, the troops recovered a total sum of N1.6 million from the suspects, who are currently in military custody pending further investigation.
