Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorist in Benue State

On April 15, 2026, at 5:19 PM, troops conducted an operation in the Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State, resulting in the arrest of a suspected terrorist. The operation, part of the "Operation Whirl Stroke," was initiated following intelligence reports indicating the suspect's presence in the Tse Atu community.

Troops from Sector 1 of the operation swiftly responded and conducted targeted operations in the area. During the operation, they apprehended the suspect and recovered a motorcycle believed to be linked to the suspect.
