Troops Rescue Kidnap Victim in Benue State Operation

On May 4, around 4:00 PM, troops operating in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State successfully rescued a kidnap victim. The operation was initiated in response to a distress call received by military sources.

Troops stationed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ahum were promptly deployed to the scene in Naka Town. Due to the pressure mounted by the approaching troops, the kidnappers fled, abandoning the victim.

The rescue was conducted without any injuries to the victim, who was subsequently reunited with their family. Additionally, the troops recovered a motorcycle believed to have been used in the kidnapping, which will be returned to its owner.

Security operations in the area continue to focus on apprehending the fleeing suspects and curbing further criminal activities.
