Troops Arrest Suspected Kidnapper in Kaduna State

On May 12, 2026, at approximately 3:30 AM, troops from Sector 7 conducted a joint security operation alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Kamuru Village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Kaduna State. The operation led to the arrest of a 45-year-old suspect named Husaini Jibrin, who is reportedly linked to a kidnapping incident that occurred on April 26, 2026, in the Angwan Ali community within the same local government area.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Jibrin played a significant role in planning and executing the abduction, which raised tensions among residents of the neighboring community. During the operation, security personnel recovered items including a mobile phone and cash amounting to N10,000 from the suspect.
