Troops commander conducts joint land, maritime security tour of Benue, Nasarawa

Commander of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Moses Gara, conducted a joint land and maritime security tour of Benue and Nasarawa states. The operational tour aimed to assess the effectiveness of the security architecture and the deployed troops within the Joint Operations Area.

The visit included a riverine patrol along critical water corridors to emphasize the integrated operation's focus on stabilizing volatile flashpoint operational locations. Commander Gara commended the troops for their dedication to maintaining peace and urged them to remain committed to fostering cooperation with the local community.

He also assured the delivery of essential operational assets to enhance troop welfare. The tour was accompanied by senior officers from various components of the operation, reinforcing the commitment to personnel welfare and security in the region.
