Nigerian Troops Destroy ISWAP Hideouts in Yobe

The Nigerian Military has conducted operations in Yobe, destroying multiple hideouts and logistics bases used by suspected insurgents from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP). The military sources indicated that these insurgents had fled from the Lake Chad Islands and the Timbuktu Triangle, seeking refuge in local communities.

The clearance operation is primarily focused on the areas of Mahdiyya, Lagarawa, Lamusheri, Ngarbai, and Wulle, where troops are performing systematic sweeps to eliminate any remaining insurgents and restrict their movement. The offensive is part of Operation Hadin Kai, which aims to dismantle insurgent networks and restore security in the North-East region of Nigeria.

Military sources confirmed that the operation is ongoing, with troops maintaining aggressive pursuit operations to consolidate the gains achieved thus far.
