Troops Seize 3,250 Litres of Illegal Petroleum in Rivers

On April 20, troops from the Joint Task Force operating in the South-South region of Nigeria uncovered 3,250 litres of suspected illegal refined petroleum products in the Elem Local Government Area of Rivers State. This discovery was made during a routine patrol as part of ongoing anti-illegal bunkering operations aimed at curbing economic sabotage and protecting critical national assets.

The operation was reported by security expert Zagazola Makama, who cited sources indicating that the illegal products were found along Refineri Road. The Joint Task Force, in collaboration with the LCSF, is intensifying efforts across the Niger Delta region to combat illegal bunkering activities.
