Troops Seize 75,000 Liters of Stolen Crude Oil, Arrest 28

The Nigerian Army conducted anti-crime operations in the southern regions, specifically in Delta and Bayelsa, resulting in significant achievements against economic sabotage and criminal activities. Troops discovered a wooden boat laden with 75,000 liters of stolen crude oil in the Bonny Local Government Area of Bayelsa.

This operation involved collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and led to the arrest of 28 suspects during coordinated raids across Yenagoa. Additionally, troops in Ebonyi thwarted an attempt to vandalize critical infrastructure at a construction site in Afikpo, apprehending one suspect and three accomplices, and recovering cables, batteries, and cutting tools.

These military operations underscore the commitment of the Nigerian Army to curb oil theft, drug trafficking, and infrastructure sabotage across the southern region of Nigeria.
