Nigerian Troops Kill 16 Terrorists, Rescue 11 Kidnapped Victims in Borno Operation

Nigerian troops, led by Lt. Col.

Sani Uba of the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai, conducted a successful operation in Borno State. They killed 16 terrorists, rescued 11 kidnapped victims from different locations, and recovered weapons, logistics items, and bicycles believed to be critical to terrorist operations.

The operation targeted ISWAP terrorists and their logistics suppliers, resulting in the arrest of a suspect transporting a large quantity of drugs meant for terrorists. The troops repelled an ISWAP attack on their base in Auno and launched a counter-offensive along the Komala Axis in the Konduga Local Government Area, neutralizing 16 terrorists and recovering significant supplies.

Additionally, the troops foiled a kidnapping attempt along the Buratai-Kamuya-Biu road, rescuing two victims. This operation underscores the military's ongoing commitment to disrupting terrorist activities and protecting civilians in the region.
