Troops Eliminate Three Terrorists in Zamfara Operation

In an operation conducted by the Troop Joint Task Force North West, three suspected terrorists were killed in Zamfara State during a fierce gun battle. The operation took place early Thursday in the Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji local government areas.

Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja disclosed that the troops attacked armed terrorists in Doumbourum village, triggering a fierce exchange of gunfire. The troops, utilizing superior firepower, overpowered the terrorists, who fled with gunshot wounds.

During the encounter, the troops recovered significant weapons, including an AK-47 rifle, a machine gun, a locally fabricated handgun, seven rifle magazines, and 571 rounds of ammunition. The military described this operation as a success, demonstrating the determination and professionalism of the troops in tackling terrorism and banditry in the North West.

Residents were urged to continue supporting security agencies with credible intelligence to strengthen ongoing efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in Zamfara State and neighboring communities.
