Troops Neutralize Eight ISWAP Fighters in Borno Clash

Troops from the Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai have neutralized eight Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters in a clash near Garin Giwa along the Kauwa Main Supply Route in Borno State. The encounter, which occurred early Monday, led to the elimination of key ISWAP members, including two Munzirs and a Qaid.

The successful operation disrupted the terrorist group's activities, with several insurgents fleeing the scene. The recovery of 14 motorcycles weakened the group's logistics and mobility.

The military high command commended the troops for their efforts in combating terrorism and restoring peace in the region, emphasizing the need to sustain momentum despite challenges.
