Nigerian Troops Thwart ISWAP Attack, Protect 10,000 Households in Borno

Nigerian Army troops from Operation HADIN KAI OPHK successfully repelled a major Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) attack in Banki, Borno State, shielding over 10,000 households from harm. The troops, supported by precision airstrikes, thwarted the terrorists' attempt to destabilize the region, forcing them to retreat with heavy casualties.

The soldiers demonstrated tactical discipline and resilience in protecting the vulnerable population, including women, children, and the elderly. The General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Ugochukwu Unachukwu, praised the troops for their bravery and assured residents of the Army's commitment to safeguarding the community.
