Troops Raid Enugu Hideout, Arrest Three Criminals

On May 23, 2026, at approximately 4:30 AM, troops from Eastern Saniti II executed a raid in Achi Town, located within the Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State. This operation was part of a renewed effort to combat criminal activities in the Southeast region, following credible intelligence regarding the presence of cultists and other criminal elements in the area.

During the raid, the troops recovered eight motorcycles and two buckets of locally made gunpowder, which were intended for criminal purposes. Three suspects were arrested, identified as Ozor Benjamin (85, Isikw Achi), Miracl Ez (26), and Ogechukwu Okori (29, Umuoka Achi).

The recovered items and the arrested individuals have been handed over to relevant authorities for further investigation and possible prosecution. Security agencies reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining pressure on criminal elements and urged the public to provide credible information to support ongoing operations.
