Troops Recover Rustled Livestock After Terrorist Sighting

On March 30, at approximately 11:30 AM, troops from the 17 Brigade were deployed in response to intelligence indicating the movement of suspected terrorists towards Amawa Forest in the Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State. Upon arrival, the troops found that the suspects had fled into nearby bushes, leaving behind a large number of rustled livestock.

The troops reportedly pursued the suspects for three kilometers along their escape route but lost contact due to difficult terrain. Following this, the troops withdrew to intensify their patrols along the main routes, aiming to restore confidence among the local community and continue efforts to track the fleeing suspects while recovering the remaining livestock.
