Troops Rescue Kidnapped Victims, Recover Cattle in Kaduna

On March 27, 2023, troops from the 2 Battalion deployed to a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Kuyello, Kaduna State, executed a successful operation following a terrorist attack in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area. Acting on credible intelligence regarding the attack, the troops engaged the assailants at approximately 2:00 PM.

Upon arrival at the scene, the troops encountered the terrorists, who were overwhelmed and fled, abandoning three kidnapped victims. The troops successfully rescued the victims, who were then safely reunited with their families.

Additionally, the operation resulted in the recovery of 12 rustled cattle, which were returned to their rightful owner. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of military forces in combating kidnapping and terrorism in the region.
