Troops Rescue Abducted Pastor and Wife in Plateau State

On June 5, 2026, troops responded to an urgent distress call from Faggem Village in Plateau State, where a pastor and his wife were being abducted. Captain Polycarp Oteh, the spokesperson for the operation, disclosed that the troops swiftly mobilized and successfully foiled the ongoing abduction attempt.

During the assault, the kidnapped couple sustained injuries. The troops managed to pressure the criminals, forcing them to abandon their targets and flee into a nearby forest.

Following the rescue, the pastor and his wife were promptly evacuated to a Bokko medic clinic for treatment. Additionally, a manhunt was initiated to track down the fleeing suspects involved in the kidnapping.
