Security Operatives Rescue Seven Abducted Travelers

Security operatives from Troop Enduring Peace successfully rescued seven travelers who had been abducted in Plateau State. The operation took place on a Monday night, following a distress call received at 9:30 PM near Sopp Village in the Riyom Local Government Area.

Troops were deployed to the scene, where they discovered an abandoned blue Opel Vectra in the middle of the road. This prompted a search operation in the surrounding bush.

During the operation, the troops made contact with the suspects, who fled under military pressure, abandoning the captives. The rescued victims were identified as Babagida Ishaku, Auwulu Haruna, Dung Jerri, Dang Ana, Idri Hussaini, Moham Idri Abdullahi, and Kangyang Sundai.

Preliminary accounts indicated that the victims were traveling from Akwanga in Nasarawa State when they were intercepted by gunmen. Efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the fleeing suspects, with troops maintaining patrols across the area to enhance security.
