Troops Secure Eid Prayers, Arrest Criminals in North-East

Troops from the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai successfully secured Eid el-Adha prayers across several communities in North-East Nigeria, particularly in Borno State. The military operation, led by Sani Uba, aimed to maintain peace and security during the celebrations.

Notable successes included the arrest of suspected criminals and the interception of individuals collaborating with terrorists. In Ngosh, troops provided adequate security at the central mosque, reflecting improved security conditions and growing confidence among residents.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of three suspects identified as Aliyu Mamadu, Umar Moham, and Adamu Aliyu, who were apprehended without resistance. Items recovered included a mobile phone, wristwatch, charm, dagger, cash, and a Dane gun, which preliminary investigations linked to Mallam Manu Ibrahim, a member of the Miyetti Allah group.

The military emphasized its commitment to protecting lives and property while working alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force to strengthen public trust.
