Troops Rescue Six Kidnapped Victims in North East Nigeria

Troops from the Joint Task Force North East, operating under Operation Hadin Kai, successfully rescued six abducted individuals, comprising women and children, during ongoing operations in North East Nigeria. The rescue occurred following credible intelligence and an air interdiction mission around Mandara Mountain.

The victims, identified as Aisha Musa (18), Aisha Moham (17), Fatima Yahaya (20), Saudatu Musa (4), Garba Moham (5), and Moham Yahaya (3 months), were taken by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists during an attack on their community on March 3, 2026. Following their rescue, the victims were provided military medical assistance and reunited with their families.

Additionally, a 40-year-old woman named Hauwa Bulama was arrested for her alleged association with terrorist elements, and items including detergent, wash soap, and a torchlight were recovered. Further operations led to the arrest of two additional suspects, Bakura (18) and Adiza (17), linked to an ammunition courier.

The military reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace in the region.
