Nigerian Troops Uncover New Terrorist Enclave, 124 Surrender in North East Operation

Nigerian troops, as part of the Joint Task Force in the North East Operation Hadin Kai, discovered a newly established terrorist enclave in the northern Tumbu area. The operation led to the surrender of 124 terrorists and their family members.

Major General Michael Onoja, the Director of Defence Media Operations, disclosed that the troops identified the key hideout of senior ISWAP fighters and conducted coordinated air and ground operations to neutralize the terrorists. Additionally, the military recorded successes in curbing oil theft and criminal activities, recovering a substantial amount of stolen crude oil and destroying illegal refining sites.

The ongoing military engagements have yielded positive results, including the neutralization of scores of terrorists, arrests of suspects, and rescues of kidnapped victims.
