Nigeria Customs Service Launches Tool to Boost Trade Efficiency

The Nigeria Customs Service, led by Aliyu Gambo, has introduced a new tool to streamline cargo clearance processes, reduce delays, and enhance trade efficiency at Nigerian ports and borders. This initiative, part of ongoing customs modernization efforts, aligns with global best practices and aims to strengthen supply chain integration.

Gambo highlighted the service's revenue performance of N7.2 trillion in 2025, surpassing annual targets through improved compliance and institutional reforms. The Customs boss, Adewale Adeniyi, commended the federal government for supporting customs reforms and border security initiatives.

The service remains committed to intelligence-led enforcement, inter-agency collaboration, and post-clearance interventions to secure the supply chain and prevent revenue leakages. The focus is on professionalism, operational efficiency, and adherence to global standards to drive Nigeria's economic transformation.
