Trump Informed of Tinubu's Alleged US Drug Case Files

Paul Ibe, the media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, asserted that United States President Donald Trump has been made aware of court documents concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's alleged past legal issues in the United States. Ibe's claim, shared on his X account, indicates that documents related to a civil forfeiture case involving Tinubu were allegedly presented to Trump by the Washington-based lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York.

The documents reportedly include over 60 pages from the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding allegations of heroin trafficking and the forfeiture of $460,000. Ibe did not provide evidence to support his claim that Trump had been briefed on the matter or whether any actions had been taken by the US administration.

The lobbying firm stated it began circulating these documents among officials in the Trump administration and Congress to inform them about the historical allegations against Tinubu, which date back to the late 1980s and early 1990s.
