TUC Supports PENGASSAN, Threatens Nationwide Strike Against Dangote Refinery

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has declared its support for PENGASSAN by threatening a nationwide strike in solidarity against Dangote Refinery. TUC accused the refinery of unjustly dismissing 800 workers for joining the PENGASSAN union and demanded a public apology.

The union warned Dangote Refinery against violating workers' rights and emphasized standing in full solidarity with affected employees. PENGASSAN had initiated a nationwide strike following the alleged worker dismissals, leading to a deepening labor dispute in the petroleum sector.

TUC vowed to take action if Dangote Refinery fails to comply with their demands within a reasonable timeframe.
