PDP Faction to Screen Over 3,000 Aspirants for 2027 Elections

The Turaki-led faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has announced plans to screen over 3,000 aspirants for the upcoming 2027 general elections. This includes 112 aspirants for the presidential position, 198 for the senatorial seats, 748 for the House of Representatives, and 2,122 for state House of Assembly positions.

The announcement was made following the approval of a timetable for the electoral activities by the party's National Executive Committee (NEC) during its 104th meeting. The party has also constituted a screening committee and an appeal panel to oversee the process.
