Galatasaray Updates on Victor Osimhen's Recovery Status

Galatasaray's president, Dursun Zbek, has given an update on the recovery of Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen, who underwent surgery following an injury sustained during a UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool at Anfield. The injury occurred when Osimhen challenged French defender Ibrahima Konate in the first half, leading to his replacement by Leroi San at the start of the second half.

Zbek conveyed optimism regarding Osimhen's condition, stating that the surgery was successful and expressing hope that he would return to play as soon as possible. However, it is anticipated that Osimhen will miss at least a month, which means he will not participate in several important matches for Galatasaray, including league matches against Trabzonspor, Göztepe, and Kocaelispor, as well as a cup game against Gençlerbirliği.

Osimhen aims to be back in time for Galatasaray's significant derby match against Fenerbahçe at Ram Park on April 26.
