Galatasaray Targets Bright Osayi-Samuel for Transfer

Bright Osayi-Samuel, a Nigerian international and former player for Fenerbahçe, has become an unexpected transfer target for Galatasaray as they strategize for the upcoming season. Osayi-Samuel, who dedicated four half-seasons to Fenerbahçe, achieved seven goals and 15 assists across 178 appearances, playing a significant role in their Turkish Cup victory during the 2022-2023 season.

He transferred to Birmingham City last summer, where he has a contract running until June 2028. This season, he has participated in 22 matches, contributing one assist and accumulating 1,242 minutes of play.

Galatasaray is exploring options for the right-back position, considering Osayi-Samuel as a potential signing alongside Wilfried Singo, who has drawn interest from the club. Osayi-Samuel was close to signing with Galatasaray last summer, but the agreement fell through at the last moment.

He recently played a full match for the Super Eagles, contributing to a 2-1 victory against Iran.
