Osimhen Retains Number 45 Jersey at Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles attacker, has decided to keep his number 45 jersey at Galatasaray, rejecting the opportunity to wear the number 9 shirt, which was left vacant by Mauro Icardi. Osimhen, who made a permanent transfer to Galatasaray from Napoli last summer, has quickly established himself as a key player for the Turkish champions.

He explained his choice by stating that the number 45 has brought him luck during his time at Rams Park and that he wishes to continue with it. Osimhen emphasized that while adopting the number 9 could potentially increase merchandise sales, his personal preference is to stick with the number that has been successful for him.

He has been a fan favorite since his transfer and recently scored during Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Rennes in Istanbul, aiming to maintain his strong performance as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
