Osimhen Sticks with No. 45 Jersey at Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen has rejected an offer from Galatasaray management to wear the No. 9 jersey, which was vacated by Mauro Icardi. Instead, Osimhen has chosen to continue wearing the No. 45 jersey, which he has worn since joining the Turkish club, citing its association with good fortune.

He stated, “Number 45 brought me luck at Galatasaray. I want to continue with the same jersey.” Osimhen's connection to the number 45 dates back to his time at Belgian club Charleroi, where he scored 20 goals.

Despite previous speculation regarding a potential transfer, Osimhen affirmed his commitment to Galatasaray, describing the club as his family and expressing happiness in his current situation. He emphasized his desire to make the fans happy and confirmed that he is not considering leaving the club.
