Nigerian Military Officers Flee Amidst Alleged Coup Plot Arrests

Binuga, have fled the country as arrests deepen in an alleged coup plot to overthrow the nation's democratic government. The arrests, which have already seen at least 16 officers detained, are part of a nationwide crackdown on military personnel involved in the botched coup attempt.

The officers who fled were identified as members of the Nigerian Defence Academy and the Defence Headquarters Special Operations Force. The Defence Intelligence Agency is leading the investigation, with a total of 30 officers now detained.
