Two Ondo PDP Lawmakers Defect To APC

Two Ondo PDP lawmakers, Afe and Agbulu, have defected to the APC. Afe, representing Akoko II, cited irreconcilable differences within the PDP as the reason for his departure, stating that the APC provided a viable platform to deliver democracy dividends to his constituents.

Agbulu, also representing Akoko II, expressed gratitude to the PDP for their support but declared that the ruling party was a more credible political platform to effectively serve his constituency. The defection leaves the APC in control of 24 out of 26 seats in the Assembly.

In other news, the Ondo State House of Assembly has intervened in the agitation of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) over the implementation of the Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS). Majority Leader Olatunji Oshati urged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to address the concerns of the legislative staff, with Speaker Olamide Oladiji also appealing for patience and ass.
