Two Police Applicants Arrested for Forged NECO Results

The Bauchi State Police Command arrested two police applicants, identified as Yusuf Usman and another unnamed individual, for presenting forged results from the National Examination Council (NECO) during a recruitment exercise. The disclosure was made by the police spokesperson, Nafiu Habib, in a statement issued on Friday.

The recruitment process, which was led by Dickson, involved the screening of a total of 403 candidates, comprising 354 applicants for general duty and 49 for specialist roles. The two suspects were found to have been moving together throughout the screening process when the fraudulent documents were discovered.

Following the arrest, the police spokesperson noted that the suspects were handed over to the division police office for further investigation. Habib also warned applicants against engaging in fraudulent activities during the recruitment exercise, which is part of a nationwide effort to recruit 50,000 police constables commencing on Monday.
