Danjuma, Fintiri, Kefas Meet Defence Minister on Security

On a weekend, elder statesman T.Y. Danjuma, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, and Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas convened a high-level security meeting with Defence Minister Christoph Gwabin Musa in Abuja.

This strategic engagement took place at the Federal Ministry of Defence headquarters and aimed to strengthen collaboration between federal and state authorities in response to the increasing security threats in Taraba and Adamawa states. A press statement issued by Taraba State Commissioner for Information, Zainab Jalingo, noted that the meeting was convened due to renewed insurgent activities and security breaches affecting border communities in the states.

The discussions emphasized the urgency of coordinated actions to address asymmetric security challenges and protect vulnerable communities. The session focused on reviewing ongoing counterinsurgency operations, reinforcing forward deployment strategies, enhancing inter-agency intelligence sharing, and accelerating the deployment of additional military assets to critical areas.
