Falconets Arrive in Malawi for U-20 World Cup Qualifier

The Nigeria U-20 Women's National Team, referred to as the Falconets, has arrived in Lilongwe, Malawi, for the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifying fixture against Malawi. The team, coached by Mose Aduku, secured a 2-0 victory in the first leg held at the Remo Star Stadium in Ikenne last weekend.

The upcoming match is scheduled to take place at the Bingu National Stadium on Saturday. Throughout the qualifying rounds, the Falconets have demonstrated strong performance, winning two away games: a 1-0 victory against Rwanda in the first round and a 2-1 win over Senegal in the second round.

The overall winner of the clash between the Falconets and the Young Scorchers will qualify for the World Cup, which is set to be held in Poland in September.
