CAF Confirms Ikenne Venue for Falconets vs Malawi Match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed that the first leg of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup final round qualifying fixture between Nigeria's Falconets and Malawi will be held at Remo Star Stadium in Ikenne. This announcement was made by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), which had previously faced confusion regarding the venue, as Malawi claimed that CAF had informed them that the match would take place at Moshood Abiola Sport Arena in Abeokuta.

However, CAF's approval has settled the matter in favor of Remo Star Stadium. The match is scheduled for Saturday at 4 PM local time, with the return leg set to occur at Bingu National Stadium on Saturday, May 9.

The aggregate winner of this matchup will secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which is slated to be held in Poland.
