APC Campaign Council for Ekiti Governorship Election Formed

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the formation of its national campaign council for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, scheduled for June 20, 2026. Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, will serve as the chair of the council, while Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, will act as co-chair.

The formal inauguration of the campaign council will take place on June 10, 2026, at the Kashim Shettima Hall in Abuja, starting at 12 noon. The council's responsibilities include coordinating various subcommittees focused on election planning, financial management, grassroots engagement, logistics, media, public security, and mobilization of women and youth.

The announcement was made by Felix Morka, the APC's national publicity secretary, marking a significant step in the party's efforts to secure victory in the upcoming election.
