UBA Headquarters Unaffected by Broad Street Fire Incident, Confirms Safety Measures

United Bank for Africa (UBA) clarified that the recent fire incident at Afriland Tower on Broad Street, Lagos Island, did not affect its headquarters as initially speculated. Contrary to social media claims, UBA House Marina remains fully operational, with only one branch in the affected building.

The fire, originating in the inverter room in the tower's basement, triggered panic in the commercial district but was swiftly brought under control by the Lagos State Fire Rescue Service. UBA activated safety protocols to ensure the protection of staff and customers during the incident, emphasizing the safety of its employees and customers.
