UBA Promotes Employee Wellness and Sustainability Initiative

United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) has reaffirmed its commitment to employee wellness and sustainable community development through its "Jog Bond" initiative, which mobilizes thousands of employees across its 20 African countries. The latest edition of this flagship wellness initiative coincided with the 60th birthday of UBA's Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Olive Alawuba.

The event featured simultaneous clean-up exercises in public spaces across UBA's markets, including Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, and Dakar, showcasing the bank's dedication to environmental stewardship. Alawuba emphasized the importance of teamwork and social responsibility in building strong institutions.

The initiative aims to foster a healthy workplace culture and strengthen team spirit while contributing meaningfully to environmental sustainability. Alero Ladipo, UBA's Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, noted that the program reflects the bank's holistic approach to employee welfare and sustainable development, reinforcing UBA's position as a responsible corporate citizen committed to building a sustainable future in Africa.
