Kaduna State Disburses N200,000 Grants to 4,050 Graduates

The Kaduna State government has commenced the distribution of N200,000 start-up grants to 4,050 graduates from the Kaduna State Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development (KIVTSD). This initiative aims to provide these beneficiaries with the initial capital necessary to establish their businesses and apply the vocational skills they acquired during their training.

Beneficiaries, including Dorathy David Nuhu, the top graduate from the Catering and Hospitality Department, confirmed receipt of the funds, expressing gratitude for the fulfillment of Governor Uba Sani’s promise. Nuhu plans to use the grant to start her catering business.

Other graduates, such as Abubakar Yahuza from the Computer/ICT Department and Maryam Mohammed from Painting and POP, also shared their intentions to support their families and purchase materials for their respective businesses. The disbursement reflects the state government's commitment to fostering self-employment and addressing youth unemployment in Kaduna State.
