Uber Ends Ride-Hailing Operations in Nigeria

On September 2, 2026, Uber Technologies, Inc. announced the termination of its ride-hailing operations in Nigeria, concluding over twelve years of service since its entry into Lagos in 2014. The company also exited Uganda but clarified that this decision did not indicate a withdrawal from the rest of Africa.
