PCIS Foundation Launches 11th UBOMI Outreach in Lagos

The PCIS Foundation, the social intervention arm of The Elevation Church, initiated its 11th UBOMI Medical and Surgical Outreach in Lagos, targeting nearly 5,000 beneficiaries and projecting around 15,000 free health interventions within a week. Pastor Godman Akinlabi, founder and Board Chair of the PCIS Foundation, stated that the initiative addresses critical healthcare deficits in Nigeria, exacerbated by economic challenges.
The Lagos outreach is the third and final one for the year, following previous events in Shogotedo and Ibadan, which collectively served over 3,000 beneficiaries. Since its inception in 2019, UBOMI has reached 22,811 unique beneficiaries.
The outreach relies on partnerships, including a seven-year collaboration with ProHealth International and HDS Clinic, which provides essential infrastructure for surgeries. Dr. Eko Ibanga from ProHealth emphasized that all medical professionals involved are volunteers.
The initiative also aims to encourage other organizations to participate in community development efforts.
